Do you, a native English speaker, have a meeting with Dutch-speaking customers or partners? Then hire an interpreter to communicate with them effectively. I interpret consecutively, which means that I always let you finish before interpreting your words into the other language. So I do not speak at the same time as you and do not work from an interpreting booth. Instead, I sit down with you and your client/partner in the form of a triad. This roughly looks like the picture. I note down your words and then interpret them exactly, i.e. without omissions or additions, into the other language. An interpreter is always neutral and does not take sides. Interpreters are also bound to professional secrecy. Your confidential information is therefore just as safe in an interpreted conversation.
